CPS and Linsky files are up.

Flurry of Friday evening work is almost over: your CPS data from Friday, with attendance, is UP, along with the Linsky file.

Also, the doc cam files for today, Monday and last Friday are updated.

Good hunting.

Homework 14 is ready

Now that your Homework 14 assignment is ready, I can tell you to have a MOST lovely weekend of enjoyment:
  1. fluid pressure
  2. head start on your plan for global domination of Bernoulli effects
  3. elementary heat concepts
  4. a few calculations
  5. a brain-burner

As always, it will be due by Monday, 1:30 PM.

Also: read up on Daniel Bernoulli and his family. The biographical blurbs are in Webcourses: Blurbs from lecture.

CPS is up

You might want to review yesterday's CPS session before attempting the homework. I just uploaded your scores and the Linsky file for that session. They are in the usual place in Webcourses.

Exam 1 and exam 2 break down sheets are now UP.

Take a look at the break down sheets for each form of each exam. They are in Webcourses, in the folder marked with the grinning smile face that you see here.

The breakdown sheets will enable you to take your exam printouts and figure out what each question was about -- including the questions you answered incorrectly. This way, you can organize your time for final exam prep. YAY

Homework #13 is ready to go.

Look in Webcourses for a density/buoyancy homework set, Homework #13. It is due tomorrow at 1:30 PM. There is no Chuck Norris factor, so be prepared for intense thinking.

Total exam 2 scores are now up.

The exam 2 total is now up for almost everybody: scantron + SMA + #41. We only have 6 more SMAs to decide.

Scantron scores are UP

YAY.

The test scoring office got our exams finished this afternoon. Scores look decent, and they are now UP in Webcourses. You can take a look. Some things to remember:
  1. The score is out of 38.
  2. The SMA is going to be another bunch of points, 1 point for #39 about molecules and 3 points for the SMA brain burner. I have your SMA data, but Ashton, Meg and I are analyzing the data still. Perhaps by this time tomorrow night it will be digested and available.
  3. The problem 41 data will be coming in from graders by Monday, and that will be another 3 points bonus -- IF you nail it.
So we have some more numbers coming in, and the scantron score is just the start.

CPS abbondanza

I just finished uploading

  1. CPS scores
  2. Linsky files

for a ton of CPS sessions. Last one was yesterday's SMA, so you can go in and look at the Linsky file study guide for yesterday's SMA review. Helpful.

Yay.

More homework

I just activated a link to a new learning object, "Energy and Work," on the Obojobo game server here at UCF, authored by our illustrious TA, Meghan.

This is another homework assignment for you, so get in and work on it before the exam.

Mini-homework on Avogadro's Number

OK, there is a short homework assignment, #12, that trots you through the basics of Avogadro's Number, which we discussed in lecture yesterday. GO FOR IT.

Bonus: suggest question for midterm exam 2

The discussion area "Bonus: suggest question for midterm exam 2" gives you a shot at earning some bonus points. Type in a question, according to the example there, and if it is good enough for me to use on the exam, you will earn two bonus points. YAY
Remember to sign up for an SSG today, which carries bonus points for attendance. There are plenty of spaces, so find one that fits your schedule and sign up for it.

No lecture today, Monday.

Due to the solid water abbondanza up here, I must cancel lecture this afternoon.

Regular lectures resume on Wednesday, 1:30 PM.
