I just finished up the podcast of today's afternoon lecture, plus the doc cam PDFs. GO! GO! GO!

Doc cam files

When I use the doc cam in lecture, you can take notes and sketch with me. Later I will scan my work and post it in PDF on Webcourses. Look in the folder with this icon.

Morning section 0001, your doc cam file is up. Afternoon section 0002, be ready to sketch and diagram.

You can now view the doc cam PDF files from both Monday lectures. They are the guts of both lectures on Monday, and the iTunes U podcast is oriented to them.

I am still catching up on various grading chores -- CPS, exam 1 mess-ups etc. -- so bear with me.

Final note: the first homework assignment will be activated by lunchtime Saturday, if not sooner. You will have until the beginning of your lecture on Monday to complete it. All homework links will be in the pickup truck folder on the Webcourses home page.

The short lecture we had this morning before the SMA review is now on iTunes U. It is basically a few minutes narration of the doc cam session concerning HW 12. The doc cam PDF of this morning's lecture is now up, too, in Webcourses.

The doc cam file is now up for you section 0003 students' Thursday lecture. Look for the Saturn icon on the Webcourses home page.

If you dive into the Webcourses area, you will see a little Saturn icon for the doc cam files. Section 0004 students, your doc cam file is there from today's lecture. Go take a look.

The doc cam files are now up for Monday and Wednesday lectures.

Doc cam from today is UP.

The doc cam work is now UP in Webcourses from today's lectures.

CPS data are UP.

Your L11 CPS data are now UP. Also, L11 study guide and doc cam PDFs are UP.

Friday podcast is UP.

You can go to iTunes U now and listen to the podcast of Friday's lecture, from the afternoon section. You guys in the morning section, it will be roughly equivalent to our morning lecture, so it will be good to use for study.

1. Log in to the myUCF portal.
2. Select the Online Course Tools tab.
3. Somewhere near the bottom of the Online Course Tools page is the link to Open UCF on iTunes U. Click that.
4. Your bowser opens a new window and then the iTunes application will open.
5. The iTunes application will "access" the iTunes Store but it will actually land at iTunes U.
6. Navigate to College of Sciences, then the blue Physical Science icon. Click in and listen!

I also uploaded the syllabus for each section and Friday's doc cam sketches, as an alternate method for getting those PDFs.

Note:
The podcasts are visual podcasts. They are designed to be viewed. Apple calls this type of podcast "enhanced audio." This means that the diagrams, notes and sketching are part of the podcast's artwork track, like a series of album covers. Our visual data in lecture is crucial. Most podcasts and music files usually have one album cover and that's it. But we have all the main diagrams etc. Good.
