Who is spinning?

It is a deep question: How can one be sure whether Earth spins or the vault of stars is spinning? Does the dynamical state of the stars affect what we observe here as to accelerations and inertia?

BONUS points questions for exam 3

There is a new set of discussion areas in Webcourses, prep for midterm exam 3. One discussion area is for chapter 8 angular momentum concepts and another is for chapter 11, 12 and 13 concepts on the states and properties of matter.
